Free income tax preparation help is available now through April 13th through the IRS=sponsored VITA program. Households with a total income of $51,000 or less can receive free income tax preparation and e-filing through the program. The program applies to basic returns. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is available mornings Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at the Salida Community Center and is staffed by local volunteers. Assistance is by appointment only.
