SALIDA, Colo., April. 29, 2013 – The U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Salida Ranger District office will relocate to a new facility during May 2013. The future site is located approximately 2 miles east of the present location at 5575 Cleora Road on the Salida Natural Resource Center campus.

The move will take place over a period of days and visitor services may be disrupted for a short period of time. The Salida Chamber of Commerce will assist by selling USFS maps and providing information on recreation opportunities in the Valley. Fuelwood sales will be delayed until June 3, 2013, due to the move.
“We are asking for everyone’s patience during our move to the new building”, said Lisa Heagley, Acting Salida District Ranger. Forest Service personnel will continue to update visitors and the local community on the progress of the move.

The Natural Resource Center is an on-going effort to consolidate the area’s natural resource agencies at a single location.

For more information about the move, please contact the Salida Ranger District at 719-539-3591 or visit our website at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/psicc/sal
